Job Overview

Due to Company growth, we are actively seeking an experienced Substation Designer to join our Engineering team in Syracuse, New Yrok.

Responsibilities & Duties

Prepare bills of materials and review drawings and specifications.Prepare physical layout drawings for substations and produce electrical plans and sections as well as grounding and conduit drawingsResponsibilities will include the preparation of the following substation drawings:Substation General ArrangementSubstation AIS designSubstation Electrical Equipment PlansSubstation Section Views (Elevations)Substation Detailed Bill of MaterialSubstation Grounding PlanSubstation Conduit, Electrical Connection and Grounding DetailsSubstation Below Grade Conduit/Raceway PlanControl Building Equipment, Cable Tray, Lighting, Grounding Plans and Section

Qualifications & Skills

Experience 3+ years’ experience in utility substation2 year associates degree in engineering technology or drafting is preferredProficient with AutoCAD and MicroStation.Strong knowledge with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
