📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Kamatics, a divison of Kaman that speicalizes in self-lubricating bearings and engineered products, is looking for an experienced Toolmaker to join our team in Bloomfield, CT on 1st shift. The core hours for the position are 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM and we are currently running one hour of mandatory overtime, at the beginning of the shift for a required 45 hours a week. Overttime pay is 1.5x the hourly rate for all hours in excess of 40 hours in a week. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Set up and performs machining operations on complex machines in the tool room. Makes adjustments to meet customer requirements. Works to close tolerances. Develops and documents procedures. Read, understand and take direction from blueprints. Able to complete complex tasks with autonomy. Perform all responsibilities within productivity and quality expectations. Follows work procedures. Act as a troubleshooter for tooling and machining problems. Maintain clean and safe work environment. Follows safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Reports safety incidents to supervisor. Make recommendations for improvements to work processes. Contributes to 5 S program in work area. Provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contributes to positive team environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Participates in training/learning other positions. Accomplishes related results as needed.
Qualifications
Education: High School diploma / GED.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years manufacturing experience.
