Shipping Clerk
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are looking for a Shipping Clerk who will be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, as well as receiving incoming shipments. Their duties include organizing inventory for easy retrieval as new orders come in, reviewing incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations, and documenting damages and discrepancies with inventory.
Job Responsibilities:Obtain and process orders, including receiving deliveries, and properly registering them within our systemMaintain warehouse reports Pick, pack, and route orders as neededLoad trucks and schedule UPS and FedEx shipmentsSchedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items and staff on hand to manage the shipmentsKeep records of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reportsHandle issues arising in shipping or inventory handlingStage merchandise in warehouse as needed, lifting items as necessary, operating forklifts and pallet jacks for large goodsCollaborate with customer service department, ecommerce team, sales team, accounting, and others involved in the shipment and return of products
Qualifications/Skills:Bilingual (English/Spanish)Apparel knowledge preferredStrong written and verbal communication skillsGood sense of time organization and urgencyProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Knowledge of AS400 and WMS systems not required, but preferred
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:High school diploma, GED, or equivalent6 months warehouse, shipping, or customer service experience
