📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
At Katies Way Plus, we're actively looking for a psychiatrist dedicated to delivering top-notch therapy services to our Katies Way Plus-Alaska. This is a 1099 contract position.
Responsibilities:Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments to diagnose mental health conditions.Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy.Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patients' progress and feedback.Provide crisis intervention and support to patients in acute distress.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to coordinate care and support patient outcomes.Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.Qualifications:Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.Board certification in psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) or equivalent certification board.Alaska State medical license to practice psychiatry.Strong clinical skills in diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of mental health conditions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to patient-centered care.Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.Dedication to ethical and professional standards.Familiarity or training in DTMS is a plusAbility to supervise nurse practitioners.Tricare credentialed required
