Education

BS/MS/ PhD Degree in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science

Skills & Experience

More than 15 years’ experience as an analytical chemist in lab or R&D environmentExpert tool management and method development competency in any/combination of the following analytical tools: gas/ liquid/ ion chromatography, spectroscopy-based techniques like UV-VIS, IR/NIR, or ICP-MS based trace metals methodsExperienced understanding and use of measurement system analysis, SQC, and/or LIMSStrong computer skills (e.g. Excel, Word, Powerpoint, database and JMP)Experienced problem solver in any/combination of following: tool troubleshooting, lithography process troubleshooting, or metrologyExperienced tool install/qualification/continuous improvement project management experienceDemonstrate team leadership in various work settingsStrong interpersonal and fluent communication skills, including demonstrated mentoring capabilityKnowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and/or photoresist chemistry highly recommendedExecution of lab policies and practices in accordance with ISO 17025 or industry lab BKM/GMP highly recommended

Duties And Responsibilities

Experienced problem solving and decision-making skills

Expert capability in any/combination of the following areas: QC metrology or process development, QC tool management, PCS, MCC, LIMSIndependently manage QC metrology and detection capability roadmap based on customer requirements, vendor capabilities, and if feasible, litho/analytical related research/professional forumsMaster problem solving techniques like tool partitioning, DOE, 8D, or fishbone analysis as necessary in dealing with QC tool or process issues, with no supervisionProfessional at using statistical analysis software like JMP, as well as Excel, Visio, PowerPointAssist Engineering group and/or initiate and perform root cause analyses, experiments, and corrective actions to address customer and production issues

Teamwork skills

Expert functional team member in QC as well as cross-functional teamsExperienced leader while working with other departments of organization on projects like tool installation and qualification, tool management, quality improvement, EH&S or 5S improvement. Manage tool and/or consumable material vendor relationships independently, in areas of contract negotiation, tool/material troubleshooting, improvement activities and other administrative tasks. Able back up to QC test operations if needed

Communication skills

Experienced in presenting to different levels of organization, skilled presenter to external parties like vendors and customersSubject expert and mentor to team members on areas including but not limited to: test issues, metrology operation and capability, process optimization, tool qualification and troubleshooting, LIMS

Expertly demonstrates quality focus in method development, tool qualification, process/ tool troubleshooting, and/or continuous improvementExpertly demonstrates ability to think of out-of-the-box ideas to solve problemsExpertly applies customer requirements to proposals or solutions

(Salary Range - $136,023 ~ $213,556 per year)
