Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead the development, implementation, and optimization of software solutions for C4ISR systems and autonomous technologies. The Senior Software Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of mission-critical software applications.
Key Responsibilities
Software Development and Integration
Research, analyze, and develop software solutions for C4ISR and sensor systems integration.Integrate new technologies into legacy hardware and existing software systems.Implement and verify communication capability between devices, databases, and services with Government approval.
Cybersecurity And Resilience
Assess system security and cyber-resiliency of software applications.Develop recommendations for security controls, vulnerability assessments, and risk mitigation strategies.Implement and adhere to Information Assurance (IA) policies and procedures.
Software Modernization
Integrate updated technologies and services into legacy software systems.Create scalable software solutions to handle rapid changes in workloads and user demands.Ensure software architecture remains highly accessible and adaptable to evolving mission requirements.
Technical Analysis And Engineering
Conduct analysis and develop recommendations for software engineering standards and specifications.Perform technology Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs) to identify and recommend software solutions.Collaborate with Government stakeholders to resolve software design and implementation challenges.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or related field.5+ years of experience in software development, cybersecurity, and software modernization.Strong expertise in software engineering standards, specifications, and best practices.Familiarity with C++, C#, Java and PythonExperience with software quality assurance, testing, and validation.Individual may require 8140 / 8570 baseline certifications based on actual job duties.Active Secret clearance
Contract Award expected Summer 2024. Positions are contingent upon award and funding.

Basic Compensation
$95,950 - $143,925
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
