📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Job Summary:Our client is seeking a Database Administrator to join their team in Ashburn, Virginia! The main responsibility for the selected candidate will be to maintain, administer, monitor and troubleshoot for Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL MongoDB and Cassandra databases.
Duties:Install and build database structuresDevelop and maintain documentationApply patches and upgrade database versionsDaily maintenance including monitoring and database maintenance tasksQuery and performance tuningProvide 24x7 production supportPart of on-call rotation
Desired Skills/Experience:Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred8+ years of experience in database administration of high availability, and critical production systemsHands on experience in creation and maintenance of Oracle/SQL Server/PostgreSQL/MongoDB/Cassandra database instances, database design, database performance monitoring, and tuning Working experience in Oracle 19c, database backup and recovery are also requiredOracle RAC, Oracle Data Guard experience required Working experience with SQL Server 2014, 2016, or 2019 Oracle certification preferredStrong team concept, self motivated, and excellent verbal and written communication skills required
