📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Job Summary:Our client is seeking an ICE Engineer to join their team in Luling, Louisiana! The Instrumentation, Controls, and Electrical Engineer will support the safe design and construction of a new site development. Associated work will include collaboration or leadership of design in concert with engineers for the successful completion of projects. The selected candidate will be responsible for participating in many categories of projects, including Engineering, Procurement, Risk, Information Management, Health-Safety-Environment, Quality, Start-Up/Commissioning. Duties:Assist with preparation and/or oversight of the development of design, construction, commissioning and start up of new plantsAssure design for implementation and trouble-free startupProvide Electrical expertise to the Industrial Operations management staff while communicating with stakeholders across a diverse interface mapDirect and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and company requirementsReview equipment specifications and related construction bid packagesAssure system and product quality by defining acceptance requirementsDevelop Factory Acceptance Test and Site Acceptance Test ProceduresBe present for the testing and ensure implementation of any corrective actionsReview and monitor controls on scheduling durations for all project activitiesAssemble periodic project reports and engineering activities
Desired Skills/Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in engineering preferred10+ years of combined operations maintenance, operations leadership or construction experience with electrical engineering required5+ years of experience working across power distribution systems in 13.8 KV, 4.16KV & 480VAC that includes transformers, switch gear, switch boards, MCC, etc.Experience working and developing electrical diagrams, one-line diagrams, panel/hardware designPrior experience developing standards, specifications, and data sheets related to electrical deliverables including power distribution, grounding, power monitoring requiredDesign and installation experience with PLC and/or DCS systems required, with knowledge of Rockwell hardware and software desiredDesign and installation experience with VFDs, Soft Starters, FVNRs and in general all motor control systemsProven experience analyzing and mitigating project risk; experience with Cause and Effect, Swiss Cheese model of accident causation, or Bowtie method preferredPrior experience in process control network and balance-of-plant network design and implementationStrong knowledge of Hazardous Location rating assessmentsKnowledge in NFPA 36 and 61 are a plus along with working knowledge of LOPA and HazopFamiliar with Project Quality control techniques including Inspection Requirements Specifications and Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing
