Role Summary
Reporting to the Counter Sales/Location Manager, the Counter Sales Representative is a key member of the Kendall Electric sales team. This position is responsible for promoting and developing business. The individual continually contributes to sales growth and profitability by providing prompt, friendly and professional service to customers in-person and over the phone.

The essential duties and responsibilities of the Counter Sales Representative position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
Sell company products and services to customers visiting or calling into the branch by gathering information about their needs, providing technical assistance when required, quoting, soliciting orders, and suggesting additional products in a fast-paced multi-tasking environmentPromote sales growth, which includes, but is not limited to:Promoting add-on sales and vendor promotionsPromoting Counter DaysCreate positive relationships with customers, clarify customer's understanding of products and services; answering questions; and offering relevant informationParticipate in relevant training to keep current with opportunities to grow and excel within the roleAssist in unloading delivery trucks and assist customers with loading product into their vehicleReceive product and stock shelvesParticipate in inventory cycle counts, as directedSafely operate stand-up and/or sit-down forklifts, manual pallet jacks, to lift and transport materialMaintain quality service by adhering to Kendall Group policies, procedures, and standardsGeneral housekeepingPerform other duties as assigned

What you’ll need:
Education: High school diploma or GEDAnalytics/Computer Skills: Ability to use standard office equipment, including but not limited to computerized bar code scanner, printer, and standard warehouse equipment/tools/machines/vehicles. Basic math and reasoning skillsOrganization Skills: Ability to multi-task and prioritize work to maximize accuracy and efficiencyCross-functional skills: Ability to work effectively with the distribution center and sales teamsCommunication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate well with all levels of the organizationPhysical, Mental and Visual Skills: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this jobAbility to frequently lift/move up to 50lbsAbility to stand/walk/lift, pull, and push during entire work shiftAbility to climb stair/step ladders up to 16 stepsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disability to perform the essential functions. Qualifications we prefer but don’t require
Work Experience: General working knowledge of electrical products; counter sales (electrical product sales a plus); forklift experience
