Ketjen Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Albemarle Corporation, is seeking a Maintenance Millwright to work at our Bayport Facility (Pasadena, TX).

Essential Duties

Safe maintenance and repair of mechanical rotating equipmentProper handling and installation of mechanical sealsInterpretation of mechanical designs and maintenance manualsUse of a wide variety of hand, portable, and stationary power toolsDemonstrate root cause analysis approach to failures and generate reports accordingly.

Required

Experience in safe in-plant maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment. Demonstrated ability to work in close tolerances; familiar with dial indicators, dial calipers, micrometers and other exact measuring equipment. Good verbal communication skillsPast history of excellent quality results in daily work activitiesMust be motivated and self-directed. Must have the ability to work in a team environment. Good written and electronic communication skillsBasic knowledge of mag- drive pumpsBasic knowledge of lathe, milling machine, drill press and other machine shop dutiesKnowledge of precision toolsHigh School Diploma or equivalent5+ years related experience.

Desirable

2-Year Technical Degree in mechanical field or NCCER millwright certificationWorking knowledge of both pump and reactor functionsWorking knowledge of hydraulic pumps, motors, and actuatorsWorking knowledge of correct alignment proceduresThorough understanding of how bearing condition, alignment, structural support, and piping stress affect equipment MTBFAn understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance proceduresWorking knowledge of the purpose and installation of mechanical sealsWorking knowledge of lubrication best practices
