JUNIOR UX/UI DESIGNER

KeyBank’s Marketing Design team has an opening for a Junior UX/UI Designer. The role requires digital design skills, with print design skills a plus. The Junior Designer will be a self-starter ready to develop their existing skills by working with senior creative staff on a range of KeyBank’s design needs. Design skills requires an understanding of typography, layout, image usage, and branding to help the team create client-centric designs that enhance KeyBank’s brand. The ability to solve problems and communicate effectively within a team of designers is also important for this role.

Typical work and needs include

Producing designs for Key,com, digital marketing, and social graphicsImage research and resizingCommunicating with senior team members to receive and implement feedbackWork effectively with writers, project managers, business partners, and the wider Marketing teamAbility to work independently but communicate progress and gather feedbackAbility to work on tight deadlinesMotivation to find solutions to design problems and understand the wider client experienceEnsure consistency of brand and creative across digital and print touch points.Assist with user research and testing.

Software skills required include

Figma and/or SketchAdobe Suite including Photoshop and Illustrator

Additional skills that would be a plus

HTML and CSSInDesign (print design)Motion graphicsKnowledge of AEMMS Office

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in digital design, graphic design, visual communications, or related field1-3 years of professional design experience.Strong attention to detailStrong work ethic and personal accountabilityReliable and communicative

Resume and digital link to portfolio are required. Job is partially remote within the greater Cleveland area, with some in-person time at KeyBank’s offices in Brooklyn, OH.

Compensation And Benefits

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $60,000 to $70,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
