Overview
Kimley-Horn is looking for an Environmental Scientist with 4+ years of experience to join our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (PA) office! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.Attend meetings and communicate with clients, government entities, and various regulatory agencies to fulfill any regulations and requirements relating to projectsThis is an exciting opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team on a variety of projectsYou will flourish on both building meaningful internal and external professional relationshipsYou will work closely and collaboratively with other industry leading professionals, various jurisdictions, and contractorsTravel for fieldwork will be required (approximately 40%).
Qualifications
4+ years relevant experience, including wetland delineation, state and federal wetland and species permittingBachelors or Masters Degree in relevant majors including Biology, Environmental Science, or related majorsEcological field work experience, including ability to lead wetland delineationsPossess strong technical writing and communication skillsWorking knowledge and strong interest in ArcGISExperience working directly with clients and regulatorsDesire to work in both an office environment and in the fieldWillingness and flexibility to travel for projects and spend long days in the field as neededExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal skillsDesire to provide exceptional client serviceThe ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced work environment as well as the ability to manage and prioritize several assignments concurrently to meet deadlinesWPIT or PWS certification is a plus
