Toddler Teacher

Kinder Prep Nursery and Preschool, located in South Williamsburg, Brooklyn, is looking to hire Spanish- speaking Toddler Teachers for ages 2-3 years old. Candidates must be professional and nurturing educators that have previous Toddler teaching experience. Candidates will work together with classroom Assistants to cultivate a warm, loving, and enriching learning environment for all students. We strive to meet the needs of each individual child while providing them with care, love, and respect, and a wonderful environment to learn, explore, and thrive.

We are looking for an experienced Toddler Teacher to join our team and provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for our students. Candidates must be responsible, have great communication skills, familiar with Toddler milestones, and have previous experience working with children ages 2-3 years old. Candidates must have experience following a Toddlers daily schedule of napping, eating, playing, and learning. Familiar with toddler development and milestones. Ideal candidates will have experience working with young children, be able to assist in implementing and preparing engaging and age-appropriate lessons and activities and have excellent communication skills. A successful candidate will be able to foster a positive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning atmosphere where all students in their care will receive the best education possible. We are looking for the following qualifications:

Requirements

At least 21 years oldMinimum of an Associate's degree in early childhood education (ECE) or currently enrolled in an Bachelors program In Early Childhood Education, with a minimum of 90 credits earned, or Currently hold a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education.Bilingual English/Spanish Speaker.Knowledge of Toddler development and milestones.3 years’ experience as a Toddler classroom Teacher ages 2-3Ability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week.Ability to work well with young children, their families, and Assistants.Excellent classroom management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsOrganized, self-directed, enthusiastic, and flexible.

Responsibilities:Assists in creating a positive learning environment that encourages exploration and discovery.Assists in engaging and supervising children.Assists in preparing and implementing activities and lessons with the Assistant Teacher.Create toddler-appropriate lessons.Assist in child's development to hit each developmental milestone.Assists in maintaining classroom management with all staff.Assists in maintaining a clean, healthy, organized, and safe classroom environment.Assists in communicating with parents. Communicate effectively with parents, administrators, and other staff members.Commitment to providing a caring, loving, positive, and quality educational experience.· Must be articulate, reliable, and possess a professional demeanor.
