Job Title:General Maintenance Worker

Department:Facility Operations and Maintenance

Job Summary

Performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and general knowledge in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.

Duties/Responsibilities

Replaces electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motorsUses plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilingsRepairs or replaces sinks, water coolers, and toiletsPaint structures and equipmentRepairs or replaces concrete floors, steps, and sidewalksReplaces damaged paneling and floor tilesHangs doors and installs door locks and replaces broken windowpanesPerforms general maintenance on equipment and machinery

Education and Experience
