Procurement Manager

Job Summary

The Category Manager will report into the Director of Supply Chain & Procurement and will play a critical role in the sourcing of ingredients and while ensuring a source of supply is in place to meet rapidly growing sales demand. This individual will work cross functionally to identify new and alternative supply, negotiate agreements with suppliers, facilitate the qualification of suppliers, and develop and implement procurement tactical plans and procedures to support the business growth.

As a Kiva Category Manager , you’ll...Manage raw material contracts with suppliers to ensure compliance of terms, safety stocks, lead-times, and usage. Facilitates discussion with suppliers to enable supply assurance.Develop deep category knowledge and regularly leverages industry experts, associations, peers, and stakeholders to identify and benchmark best practices.Proactively seek out new ingredient sourcing and continually develops secondary supplier network. Lead RFPs for new suppliers, engaging cross-functional teams as needed to ensure all qualifications are met.Participate in the development of supply strategies, to mitigate risk, ensure current and future supply and manage cost.Negotiate pricing and agreements with key suppliers to ensure a continuous source of supply to support the overall business needs.Identify cost savings opportunities and develop recommendations to reduce costs and improve efficiencies.

What we are looking for...Minimum 5 years’ experience in Strategic Sourcing or Procurement for a food or beverage manufacturingStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively engage others as necessary to resolve issuesAdvanced knowledge of supply chain/procurement processes.Intermediate to expert level user of Microsoft Office Suite – Excel and Google Suite.Intermediate to expert proficiency in manufacturing MRP and distribution systems and processesBachelor's Degree with 5+ Years of Experience OR 10+ Years of ExperienceExtensive experience in spreadsheet and data analysisKnowledge in Supply Chain ERP systemsStrong analytical skills with proficiency for analysis and modeling and creative thinking.Ability to perform a number of routine tasks quickly, efficiently and accurately
