Your Job

Masen, a Koch owned and operated environmental IoT services startup, is seeking an Operations Leader to join our growing team. The Operations Leader will be a key partner in day-to-day tactical and higher-level strategic decisions, operational oversight, financial management, and strategic planning for Masen.

The location for this role is preferably in Denver, CO, Wichita, KS, or Madison, WI, or Atlanta, GA, but is open to remote candidates in any U.S. location. This position requires travel of approximately 10% to industrial sites and partner / vendor locations across the U.S.

Masen, a Koch owned and operated environmental IoT services startup, helps industrial operators implement and manage automated environmental data collection infrastructure so they can focus on higher value-added tasks. Masen utilizes connected devices (IOT), various communication protocols, support and maintenance services and an intuitive visualization platform to generate insights from the most challenging environmental use cases. This enables our customers to create competitive advantage and maximize operational efficiency through data driven decisions.

What You Will Do

Manage all aspects of tactical day-to-day business operations, particularly financial and organizationalContribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plansAnalyze and improve organizational processes and workflows through prioritization and accountabilityFormulate business and department strategic and operational objectivesDevelop and monitor performance metricsCommunicate all operating policies and/or issues at department meetingsImprove operational management systems, processes, and best practices - explore and implement tools to improve efficiencyEnsure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective wayProvide management support of hardware production and assemblyExamine financial data and use them to identify opportunities to improve overall profitabilityLead profit & loss roadmap development and tracking, supported by FP&ADrive business and department monthly, quarterly, and annual investor/stakeholder reporting and forecastingRecruit, train, and supervise operations-related staff

Oversee the Following

Purchase materials, plan inventory, and ensure we are purchasing the right equipment and hardwareLogistics in partnership with project manager and customer success leaderRelationships with key vendors and partnersSetup of new vendors in accounting systems and ensure they are paid promptlyTrack vendor and partner pricing and service levels

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Relevant cross-functional experience managing inter-departmental collaboration and communicationExperience with leadership and oversight in operations and/or financeExperience in project, business, and financial managementKnowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations managementExperience with business and department budgeting and forecastingDemonstrated ability to organize communication between rapidly evolving product lines and projectsUtilizing strong and persuasive written and verbal communication skills for internal team and external sponsorship / leadership / executive reviews on various topics, including business performance metrics.Proficient with financial / accounting tools, Microsoft Office Suite, digital collaboration tools, and/or similar softwareDemonstrated experience developing and executing on operations improvement strategies and related KPI’s.
