For over 40 years, Kraft Tool has been a trusted name in the hand tool industry.CompensationPay based on experience and qualificationsSummaryThe Cost Accountant role is part of the accounting function, reporting to the Controller/CFO of the Company. The Cost Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate product costing and inventory valuation for all manufacturing plants. They will work closely with the Accounting, Production and Sales Departments by performing month-end close activities, providing/assisting in operational reporting, compilation and analysis of product costs, development of new products/offerings, and margin analysis.Core ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOMs)Maintain BOM and Product Routing information within ERP systemsMonitor overhead and labor costs/standardsCreate/compile weekly and monthly operations finance reportsComplete month-end close tasks ensuring strict adherence to deadlinesComplete monthly balance sheet reconciliationsAd-hoc and monthly journal entries specific to inventory and manufacturing functionsAssist Controller with forecast and budget reportsAssist/coordinate with inventory control and cycle countsMonitor/control accurate inventory valuationsMonitor/maintain Fixed Asset Schedules for managerial and financial reportingInvestigate processes, manufacturing and receiving variances, and resolve discrepanciesOther tasks and duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university in Accounting or Finance and 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience; requiredManufacturing experience, preferredERP/Acumatica experience, preferredExcellent Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPointStrong initiative and ability to manage multiple projectsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to complete projects timely and accuratelyMust be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skillsAbility to work well with others in a fast paced, dynamic environmentAbility to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environmentBenefits:401(k)401(k) MatchingDental InsuranceEmployee DiscountFlexible Spending AccountHealth InsuranceLife InsurancePaid Time OffMedical Reimbursement ProgramTuition Reimbursement
