Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced L2 - Storage + Backup Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Dell PowerScale H700 NAS, Dell PowerMax SAN, Brocade 7720 Switches, and Avamar. The candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of storage and backup solutions to ensure optimal performance and data protection.
Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage Dell PowerScale H700 NAS and Dell PowerMax SAN storage solutions.Configure and optimize Brocade 7720 Switches to ensure efficient data transfer and connectivity.Implement and manage Avamar backup and recovery solutions to safeguard critical data.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess storage and backup requirements and develop tailored solutions.Monitor storage and backup infrastructure performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement necessary optimizations.Perform regular backups, data replication, and disaster recovery tests to ensure data integrity and availability.Troubleshoot storage and backup-related issues, diagnose root causes, and implement corrective actions.Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and best practices.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.3+ years of experience in storage and backup administration.Proficiency in Dell PowerScale H700 NAS, Dell PowerMax SAN, Brocade 7720 Switches, and Avamar.Strong understanding of storage protocols such as NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel.Experience with storage virtualization and thin provisioning.Familiarity with data deduplication, compression, and encryption techniques.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and collaboration abilities.Certifications such as Dell EMC Storage Administrator (EMCSA) and Brocade Certified Fabric Administrator (BCFA) are a plu
