L.K. Jordan & Associates has an amazing opportunity for a driven, results oriented professional to join our client's team in Buda, TX as the Controller. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of accounting experience, as well as experience in a similar role. Construction and AIA Billing experience a plus.

Responsibilities IncludeOverseeing company financial activities ensuring that financial transactions are accurately recorded, reported, and analyzed.Conduct a comprehensive monthly review of accounts receivable statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.Monitor and modify bank account balances, particularly for the Managers' Expense account, to uphold ideal financial well-being.Take an active role in monthly budget meetings, emphasizing billing to steer financial strategy and planning.Generate comprehensive spreadsheets detailing deposits alongside their respective periods and assignments, then utilize QuickBooks to choose and print checks for seamless financial transactions.Craft 1st and 2nd lien notices using templates, verify the accuracy of owners' information on the County Appraisal District, and prepare mailing materials.Ensure precision in payroll processing, encompassing tax deductions and staff hours logged through T-Sheets and QuickBooks.Respond to vendor inquiries regarding balances and payment status after a thorough review of vendor history.Consistently balance bank accounts from all banks to ensure precise financial records.Input receipts into QuickBooks, store a digital copy on the shared drive, and cross-reference weekly bank transactions with receipt documentation.Log received checks in HCP as needed and enter cash receipts from HCP to QuickBooks for ACH deposits.

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field5 + years of experience in a Senior Accountant or Controller positionExperience in the construction industry a plusFluency in QuickBooks, Paylocity, and AIA BillingIntermediate to advanced working knowledge of ExcelGAAP knowledgeStrong written, verbal and collaboration skillsExceptional attention to detail, ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and strong analytical and organizational skills.
