📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Labatt Food Service is looking to fill a position in their Houston distribution center for a Safety Manager. This position will be responsible for the following:Conduct weekly warehouse safety meetingsConduct new employee orientation for operations and transportation employeesConduct DOT orientation for newly hired Class A CDL driversMaintain driver qualification filesInvestigate and report all accidentsMaintain accident reports and work with insurance companies on all vehicle accidentsOversee the work injury programOrganize and conduct quarterly safety meetingsInspect and maintain all safety equipmentWorks to ensure that the company stays in compliance with all Federal Motor Carrier Safety RegulationsAttend training programs available to further knowledge of federal safety programsPurchase safety equipment as neededManage Access Control department and security proceduresComplete any other special assignments or tasks as directed by management Bachelor’s Degree required. Prefer 3-5+ years of experience within operations and transportation safety programs.
