Loss Prevention & Inventory Control Manager

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Commercial Operations, (and managing external vendors), the Loss Prevention & Inventory Control Manager guides and supports retail stores and corporate partners in the areas of loss prevention, inventory control and physical inventory. Loss Prevention & Inventory Control Manager serves as the primary contact for the field teams in the forementioned areas of the business. He or She will be responsible for improving controls in item movement, loss prevention and physical inventory, leading to a reduction in shrink for all retail channels. The ideal candidate will be somebody who understands the responsibilities of a retail location from both sides: as a manager, and as a support team member. This person needs to be proactive, reactive, and an excellent communicator, capable of flawless project management skills.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Inventory Management all shipment discrepancies including delivery notification closing requests and missing delivery notificationsend of month transfers with accounting teamall product movement including open delivery and transfer notifications, damage transfers and end of season transferscycle count process to include monitoring results, follow up on variances, and monitoring cycle count adjustmentsweekly reporting and summary to track progress, compliance, and highlight gapsclosely with stores and Market Leaders to ensure complete inventory accountability in all storeswith IT, logistics partners and other corporate partners as necessary to quicky resolve all shipping and receiving issues affecting stores

Loss Preventionpartner for DTIQ (3rd party loss prevention partner)LP audit program with DTIQ including store selection, action plan follow-up, trend analysis and recommending ways to improve complianceinvestigate or appropriately delegate LP alerts from hotline, exception-based reporting, HR and other business partnersand manage Target Shrink programProvide summary and recommendations for improvementstore compliance in partnership with Market Leadersopportunities and create action plans to reduce store shrinkdistribute, and summarize monthly shrink repotspartnership with the field training manager, develop and/or update shrink awareness training and communication for stores

Physical Inventory lead and schedule physical inventory process with external vendors and internal stake holdersreconciliation, research and validation process with stores, Market Leaders and corporate partnersand present ideas to improve the physical inventory process including simplification and accuracy

Miscellaneous on ad hoc projects supporting retail operationstrain to support other retail operations partners when needed

Requirements/Qualifications:retail experience with demonstrated understanding of inventory management, loss prevention and physical inventory programsyears of experience in retail store management, corporate retail operations, inventory control or loss preventioncommunications skills, verbal and writtenexcellence with project management is required; experience with budgeting/financial management is preferreda friendly positive attitude towards fellow associates and others – this position will have frequent interaction with all stores and corporate departmentsto build and maintain relationships with all corporate support functionsof MS Office – Word, PowerPoint, Excel proficiency requiredorganization problem solving skills with a high level of accuracydetail and service oriented
