Cybersecurity Policy Analyst

The Lafayette Group is seeking a highly motivated individual who is dynamic and experienced to work with government organizations to support drafting, reviewing, and facilitating cybersecurity policy development activities in alignment with our clients’ latest cybersecurity needs. The Lafayette Group (LGI) manages a comprehensive portfolio of U.S. Government programs in the areas of cybersecurity, critical infrastructure security, emergency communications, public safety, and national security.

Job Responsibilities: Support our Cybersecurity Infrastructure Security (CISA) client to include coordinating information management needs at all levels of classification which include drafting, editing, and distributing various reports and policies internal to the client organization,Providing thought leadership in drafting CISA inputs to policy positions and US Government policy proposals.Develop and use understanding of basic cybersecurity principles to support customer with delivery of cyber services and guidance to stakeholders.Facilitate meetings and logistics at all levels of classification with key White House and DHS stakeholders on a routine basis.Draft written work products including briefing decks, project charters, meeting summaries, case studies, strategic plans, talking points, fact sheets, and user guidesPerform qualitative and quantitative research and data gathering to identify key themes, trends, and opportunities from complex information for the implementation of new processes and tools to support operationsBuild strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

Required Qualifications:8+ experience and Top Secret ClearanceBachelors degree in public policy, cybersecurity, business or a related field from an accredited institutionProficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and ExcelExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to meet deadlines, adhere to project plans, ensure any conflicts are brought to the attention of the management team, and multi-task and work on several projects simultaneously across multiple project areasAbility to be flexible and adaptable; Be comfortable handling last-minute asks, changing priorities or changes in directionAbility to interact and network effectively with all levels of staff, including senior leadership, both internal and on the client site, as well as manage multiple stakeholdersAbility to obtain a Federal government public trust

Desired Qualifications:10+ experienceMaster’s degree in public policy, cybersecurity, business or a related field from an accredited institutionDegree in IT, cybersecurity, or national security fieldWork experience in homeland security, IT, or cybersecurityExisting TS/SCI clearance and DHS/CISA Suitability

Location: Arlington, VA with being able to operate onsite (LGI offices and client site) 2-3 times per week

Federal Contracts:This position involves working on federal contracts that require all workers on the contract to be U.S. Citizens. Additionally, some contracts may require the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Salary Range: $95K - $115K
