Our Veterinary Assistants play an integral role in providing excellent care to our patients as well as serving as major communicators for our hospital. A caring and compassionate attitude is required of all team members both while caring for patients and interacting with one another. PERSONAL AND PHYSICAL
We offer flexible work schedules. Most schedules are four 10 hour shifts weekly, alternating Saturdays, closed Sundays Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds unassisted Must possess sufficient strength and assertiveness to effectively restrain patients Must be able to be on feet a minimum of eight hours per day Must be able to handle dogs on leashes Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions Must have strong emotional intelligence, communication & interpersonal skills Must possess a love of animals and patience when handling pets Must display a professional manner at all times

High School graduate or Equivalent
