📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
We have partnered with a rapidly growing Series B Artificial Intelligence company that is revolutionizing the Legal industry. Utilizing cutting-edge machine learning and contract software, this company's mission is to simplify legal contracts and make law accessible to everyone.
The company is turning a positive cash flow and has generated 20x revenue growth in the last 12 months. They are now building out their NYC office and are looking for motivated, forward thinking people to join their team. This role is within the Legal and Product Team and will involve working directly with investment teams at at some of the world's largest private equity and debt funds, financial institutions and corporates .
Responsibilities:Draft and review various transactional documents: confidentiality agreements, engagement letters, and release letters.Helping establish and agree contract playbooks (i.e. review guidelines) with current and new clients.Work cross-functionally with product team, engineering, and machine learning teamsCollaborate with senior leadership around developing policies and procedures for the organization
Qualifications:3+ years of legal experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating core transactional documentsPrevious experience working with private equity, asset management, or hedge fund clients in an in-house setting.Understands typical fund transaction structures and timelinesJD from accredited universityStrong written and oral communications skills
