📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
A Real Estate Investment Firm is seeking a Senior Leasing Paralegal hire that will be working closely with legal leadership resolving day-to-day issues while supporting a broad range of commercial, direct, and retail leasing documents and agreements. You will have the opportunity to manage cases with outside counsel while performing legal due diligence on a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities of the Senior Leasing Paralegal:Oversee the in-house landlord/tenant default process and manage cases with outside counselDraft, review, and negotiate commercial retail leasing agreements such as amendments, assignments, letter agreements, SNDAs, access agreements, etc.Performing legal due diligence, including abstracting and preparing co-tenancy and use restriction analysisCoordinate with transactional members in the legal department, ensuring compliance with loan documents, purchase and sale agreements, and joint venture agreements
Requirements of the Senior Leasing Paralegal:Bachelor's degreePrior experience in commercial, direct, and retail leasing preferredAbility to be collaborative with all departments and take ownership of projectsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailSuperior communication skills both verbal and written
