IAM Security Engineer

LaSalle Network has partnered with a higher education institution in Sugar Grove, IL in their search for an Identify & Access Management (IAM) Security Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our client's tech systems are reliable and secure. The ideal candidate will be able to prioritize tasks effectively and possess clear communication skills. This position is completely remote after 1-2 weeks of training and offers a competitive wage.

IAM Security Engineer Responsibilities:Respond to customer inquiries: This involves answering questions from customers about the company's products or services. This could be done via phone, email or live chatTroubleshoot technical issues: When customers encounter problems with a product or service, the technical support team is responsible for diagnosing the issue and finding a solutionInstall and configure software and hardware: This could involve setting up new computers or servers, installing new software applications or configuring network equipmentMaintain and repair equipment: This could involve replacing faulty hardware, updating software or performing regular maintenance to ensure everything is running smoothlyTrain users: Technical support may be responsible for training users on how to use new software or hardwareDocument technical issues and solutions: This involves keeping a record of common problems and their solutions, which can be used as a reference for future troubleshootingMonitor system performance: This involves regularly checking the performance of the company's IT systems to ensure they are running efficientlyTest new technology: Before a new piece of technology is rolled out to the rest of the company, technical support may be responsible for testing it to ensure it works properlyManage user accounts: This could involve setting up new user accounts, resetting passwords or managing user permissionsLiaise with vendors: If a problem can't be solved in-house, technical support may need to contact the vendor for assistanceIAM Security Engineer Requirements: 5+ years of IAM Engineering experience NetIQ installation, configuration, and support experience Experience configuring/setting up permissions within Micro Focus Experience working with a third-party security partner Experience setting up role-based permissions Excellent communication, ability to create/clarify requirements based on the need of the business
