Systems Administrator

LaSalle Network is partnering with a prestigious higher education organization in Evanston, IL who is seeking a Systems Administrator with experience working in Azure and AWS environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both Linux and Windows operating systems and be proficient in managing and optimizing these systems.

In addition, the candidate should have experience working with cybersecurity tools, ideally with knowledge in tools such as Tenable or CrowdStrike. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for implementing, maintaining and securing the organization's infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security of the systems. This position is hybrid and requires the ability to be on-site in Evanston 3 days per week.

Systems Administrator Responsibilities:Managing and maintaining cloud environments in Azure and AWSMonitoring system performance and security, identifying and resolving issues proactivelyImplementing security measures to protect the organization's data and systemsEnsuring compliance with industry best practices and regulationsCollaborating with other IT teams to implement and support new technologiesProviding technical support and troubleshooting for system-related issuesDocumenting system configurations and proceduresParticipating in on-call rotations for off-hours support

Systems Administrator Requirements:Extensive experience working in Azure and AWS environmentsStrong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systemsExperience working with cybersecurity tools, preferably Tenable or CrowdStrikeExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentRelevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA), AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are preferred
