Senior Accounting Manager

Our client is a financial services leader currently seeking a Senior Accounting Manager for their rapidly growing international team. The ideal candidate will assist with leading the team to build and develop operational accounting and month-end close processes. The Senior Manager will also play a critical role in managing and actively participating in the accounting cycle all while helping design new processes that leverage technology to drive efficiency as the Company innovates and scales.

Key ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the Controller, work on day to day accounting responsibilities, managing accounting transactions and account reconciliationsEnsuring accurate and timely completion of all accounting reports and financialsResponsible for monthly reconciliationsHas the ability to develop and maintain concrete accounting policies, processes and systems to ensure optimal controls for the companyOversee the monthly close of the company books, the general ledger, and reporting of financial resultsLead pivotal accounting projects as they arise (ASC606, ASC842, consolidations, etc)Prepare weekly and monthly management financial health reports which will include, revenue/expenses as well as financial comments with recommendationsCoordination of audits and the establishment and constant improvement of accounting policies which will include the development of efficient and effective processes that also support key areas of the business as well as internal controlsWork with upper management in identifying and resolving BD related financial issues andsuggesting procedure changes as necessaryAssist in data gathering for all tax filings and annual audit support, quarterly and annually

RequirementsBachelor’s Degree required, accounting, economics or financeCPA preferredMinimum of 7+ years accounting experience, ideally with a foundation in auditing or in the financial industryExperience of capital markets strongly preferredExperience with a large ERP software (Netsuite a plus)An understanding of financial reporting systems, procedures, and controlsStrong organizational skills, attention to detail and prioritization capabilitiesDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing prioritiesStrong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of management and work in a team-oriented environmentAbility to collaborate effectively with business partners
