📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Our hedge fund client is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented individual to join our esteemed Quant Systems team. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of the firm's critical computing infrastructure, which underpins our research and trading activities.
Responsibilities:Collaborate with a global team of engineers to design and implement high-performance computing solutions, encompassing operating systems, software development tools, and network architecture.Oversee and manage the firm's computing fleet, ensuring optimal performance and resource allocation.Participate in the design and operation of clustered file systems for efficient data storage and retrieval.Adhere to established Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies for the creation and maintenance of critical software systems.Perform kernel and network optimizations to achieve ultra-low latency and high data throughput for time-sensitive applications.Analyze system performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a closely related technical discipline (or a minimum of five years of demonstrably equivalent experience).Proven proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Golang, or Rust.In-depth knowledge of Linux-based operating systems and network administration principles (highly desirable).Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate within a fast-paced team environment.Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a meticulous attention to detail.A demonstrated passion for technology, coupled with a continuous learning mindset and a strong desire to excel.
