Financial Advisor

We are helping our client in Iowa City, hire a Financial Advisor. Their practice is a fast-growing independent advisory firm with offices in Iowa City providing financial planning and wealth management services to their clients. Their company is positioned to optimize client outcomes and maintains firm positioning around that ethos. As such, no products are sold for commission and advisory services are central to the execution of client outcomes.

This position is an entry to mid-level advisory role with responsibility for servicing and managing primarily new and existing client relationships as lead or co-advisor, formulating, and implementing planning advice – supported by the firm’s technical specialists. You are also responsible for supporting the new business development efforts of partner advisors and developing your own new business development network.

Moreover, this candidate exhibits incredible attention to detail and ability to manage and prioritize tasks.· Responsible for delivery of our service models by adhering to the company's guidelines· Assume co-advisory/service relationships with selected existing clientso Take lead on routine and follow-up contact with clientso Coordinate comprehensive financial planning process along with Planning Team from start-to-finish for client updates, manage on-going advisory, and new opportunity identification· Participate in new client relationship developmento Participate in planning meetings regarding new prospects/new clientso Coordinate follow-up workflow items with new clients· Develop new clients through personal prospecting efforts, prior client relationships and development of referral sources and centers of influence· Develop knowledge and familiarity with company processes, technologies, service models, and personnel· Responsible for ensuring client and company tasks are documented and executed· Maintain team approach by assisting and filling in for others

Qualifications:The Financial Advisor position typically requires the following qualifications:· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (required)· Minimum 2 years of industry experience· Series 65 licensing or willingness to pass exam within 3-6 months of hire date· Well networked individual with infectious and positive attitude· Intellectual curiosity and thirst for information· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, as well as familiarity with financial planning software· Capacity to fulfill high touch client needs and client first attitudeAny combination of equivalent education and work experience will be considered.
