Supply Manager, Third Party Manufacturing Onsite, Muscatine, IA
We are seeking a career-driven Supply Manager to lead our Third-Party Manufacturing operations. In this pivotal role, you'll oversee our contract manufacturing partnerships across all companies, ensuring seamless transactions, and adherence to agreements.
Your responsibilities will include enhancing existing supplier capabilities and scouting for new partners with innovative skills. You'll establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for each contract manufacturer, driving continuous improvements..Key Responsibilities: ● Lead the setup of third-party relationships, overseeing manufacturing and warehouse transactions.● Collaborate with Quality, Product Development, and Marketing to ensure products meet our commercialization, quality, safety, and regulatory standards.● Cultivate strong business relationships with contract manufacturers, resolving issues and optimizing production efficiency.● Coordinate with Procurement, Quality, and other departments to address complex issues.● Scout and develop new manufacturing partners to support capacity needs and innovation strategies.● Project manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, ensuring favorable outcomes for all stakeholders.● Establish risk-mitigation strategies tailored to current market conditions.● Lead internal project meetings and documentation processes.
Qualifications: ● Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or relevant field; Master's degree or supply management certification preferred.● 8 years of experience in operations, logistics, or sourcing, with a focus on external manufacturing relationships (food/beverage industry experience is a plus).● Proficiency in contract negotiation, project management, quality standards, and risk management practices.● Excellent communication skills for interactions at all levels, both internally and externally.● Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.● Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).*Anticipate 20-30% travel initially for assessing current and potential manufacturing partners.
