Engineering Technician

Position: Engineering TechnicianEmployment Type: Full-Time; W-2Location: 100% Onsite, San Diego, CA 92126Benefits After 1 Week of EmploymentPay: $25-$30 per hour9/80 Schedule - every other Friday offCompany Overview: Company is a rapidly growing small business specializing in Systems Engineering and the manufacturing of hardware systems. We are currently seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to join our production team in San Diego, CA. This role involves system troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair.Responsibilities:Utilize oscilloscopes, RF Analyzers, multimeters, and other lab equipment for troubleshooting and testing systems.Perform mechanical assembly of small and large equipment, including alignment and assembly of component parts, using hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and fixtures.Conduct electronic troubleshooting down to the component level, with RF circuitry troubleshooting skills being a plus.Apply working knowledge of Fiber Optics systems and fundamentals.Test and repair subassemblies or cables to the component level.Work from written procedures, schematics, engineering drawings, and technical orders.Execute Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) using test instruments such as oscilloscopes, electronic voltmeters, and bridges, and record test results.Handle through-hole and surface mount semiconductor components.Develop installation, removal, and testing instructions for field personnel, both ashore and afloat.Responsible for all hardware, cable, and subassembly installation of Electro-Mechanical Equipment Racks.Perform final acceptance tests of Electro-Mechanical Equipment Racks.Prepare written testing documentation.Undertake technical assignments as directed by engineering and management.Qualifications:Strong understanding of computer networking.Experienced in cable routing in electro-mechanical equipment racks.Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to assemble products.Strong reading and writing communication skills in English.Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suites Applications.Preferred Qualifications:Active DoD Secret Clearance.Associate degree or Technical Trade certifications preferred.Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for up to one month, if needed.5+ years of experience assembling electro-mechanical equipment racks.Experience using UID label machines.
