Billing Specialist

Ledgent Finance and Accounting has an immediate opening for an experienced Billing Specialist in Dover, NH. Location: Dover, NH (On-Site)Role: Billing Specialist (Temp-Hire or Direct Hire)Pay: $24-$26/hourPremise: As a Billing Specialist, you are responsible for accurate preparation of invoices, settlements and collecting AR.Primary Duties:Update and maintain client billing records, apply payments, and transfer payments between accounts.Ensure timely set up and communication of new client matters.Review pre-bills in response to company requests.Process bills by verifying accuracy of supporting documentation.Work closely with team on collections of clients past due balancesCompile data and prepare a variety of reports as needed.Requirements:Ability to meet deadlines.Associate degree and 2 years of experience preferredCustomer-centric approachHigh attention to detailProficiency in Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to adapt to new/different accounting system.Professional services experience accounting experience a plus
