Job Summary Job Responsibilities Manage the maintenance and repair of company building(s), equipment, machinery and groundsPlan, schedule, and direct staff of in-house employees and external contractors in the maintenance of company buildings, equipment, machinery and groundsDevelop and maintain an operating budget to ensure that such maintenance is carried out on a cost-effective basisEnsure facilities remain operationalOversee the regular maintenance of heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and other equipmentDevelop comprehensive annual inspection process for equipment, machinery and facilitiesDirect building renovation and ensures renovations occur within budgeted levels and conform to company specifications. Obtain and prepare cost estimates; coordinate all construction, remodeling, and repair projects; and inspect completed workCoordinate/manage insurance and service contract requirements and associated vendorsAssure that space-management and project-tracking documentation is accurate and up-to-date to facilitate incorporation of new requirements and projects Resolve and investigate all facility security related issues; develop incident report systemImplement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with facility security effortsKeep upper management apprised of any developments or problems that may interfere with production/processes or cause property lossCollaborate with other departments on problems concerning facilitiesMentor staff by motivating and providing direction to help them achieve their goals and make a consistent effort to go above and beyondEstablish, implement, and monitor methods and measures to ensure quality and low costProvide compliance and consulting support to management May provide interface with governmental agencies and other sites to avoid reactions to law changes and compliance issuesDevelop and manage applicable Emergency Contingency PlanningSupport, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organizationAssist management with special projects and assignments as requestedSupport business plans, acquisitions, mergers, and divestitures Job Responsibilities Part II Qualifications Associate’s degree in engineering or related field and a minimum of 7+ years of facilities experience and/or equipment engineeringWorking knowledge of processing equipment and related support equipmentWorking knowledge of electrical power systems as well as HVAC systems and controls Demonstrated project management skills and experience working with subcontractorsProven “hands-on” leadership and people skillsDetail oriented, time and cost consciousDemonstrated skills in facility engineering Taking care of our people is a top priority at Leonardo DRS.
