Job ID: 109513 The Leonardo DRS Land Systems business is a recognized leader in the design and integration of complex technologies into new and legacy systems and platforms for global military and commercial customers. We are a 3 year running Top Workplace in the Greater St. Louis area. Job Summary Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a full time level III Planner. Responsible for planning program material requirements to support production’s on time delivery to contract. Manages material release to production per the master production schedule, in support of work order builds. Maintains accurate material line of balance to ensure inventory levels support on-time contractual deliveries. Job Responsibilities Create the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on production capacity, materials availability and contractual requirementsObtain agreement from production, materials and program office before execution of the MPSMaintain the MPS filesEnsure closeout of old programs/jobs to include the disposition of all requisition, purchase orders and residual inventoryMonitor shipping performance to MPS and contract and create tracking reportsTrack and report the number of changes to each MPSInterfacing with contracts, planning, master scheduling and production to create and maintain the Internal Operating Plan (IOP)Ensure product is moving from production to packaging to shippingCreate reports that show actual shipments against projectionsWork closely with manufacturing to establish and evolve a stable manufacturing scheduleImprove current system, functions, and daily operations to more effectively meet goalsResponsible for rescheduling daily delivery requirements if problems require a re-plan to meet internal needs and contractual obligationsConsolidate demand for purchase requisitionsSupport, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the company Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience or equivalent combination of education and experienceSolid understanding of business processes and functional inter-relationshipsStrong background in project material managementExtensive experience in production planningSkilled in the use of Excel, Excel Pivot Tables, Power Point, Word, as well as SharepointExcellent understanding of MRP systems
