About The Role
This position is responsible for shipping finished goods and maintaining materials that support our customers and production lines. Duties involve stocking, cutting, shipping and/or moving finish goods and materials/supplies. Operates material handling and warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner. This position works under direct supervision.
Responsibilities
Assist with unloading and loading incoming and outgoing freightObtains and moves finished goods and materials with the use of a RF scannerIdentify and packages finished goods in the appropriate mannerUse warehouse packaging equipment as neededPreforms cycle counts of warehoused inventoryAbility to utilize cutting linesMaintain 5S standards
Qualifications
Understanding of basic math skills - adding, subtracting and measuringBasic computer skills Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written formatAbility to multi-taskAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsAbility to use judgement related to identifying potential safety hazards
Physical Demands
This position requires 20% clerical and planning and 80% material handling, warehouse equipment operations, and/or walking and assisting warehouse employeesWork is primarily performed on the warehouse floor Eye and foot protection must be wornLifting of weights up to 30 pounds may occur regularly, with a potential for lifting weights of up to 80 pounds on an occasional basisThe physical demands of the position include climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and eye/hand/foot coordinationMay stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
Education & Experience
High School education or GED preferred.Minimum three (3) months related experience Proficient in 1 warehouse function (cutting, shipping, material handling, shipping clerk)
