Responsibilities of this direct hire Staff Accountant job in San Diego include:Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes efficiently and accurately using QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Excel.Process payroll for approximately 50+ employees, ensuring compliance with all applicable CA laws.Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow to maintain financial stability.Prepare financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets for management.Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.Stay updated on relevant accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.

Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.3-5 years of experience in accounting roles, with a focus on AP, AR, and payroll functions.Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Excel.Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.Attentive to detail and accurate.Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
