LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Plant Accounting Manager for a producer-focused natural gas gathering and processing company in the Fort Worth Basin and Barnett Shale, based in Houston, TX. This role primarily involves overseeing revenue accounting processes, including monthly gas statement distribution, billing, and financial close support.
Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.3+ years of experience in midstream oil and gas revenue accounting.Prior experience with W Energy or Quorum TIPS plant accounting software.Strong understanding of GAAP.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.Ability to manage a team effectively.Desire to learn and grow within the company.

Responsibilities:Collaborate with various internal departments and external consultants to complete monthly gas statements and invoice distribution.Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes using accounting software and reporting tools.Oversee maintenance of producer/operator data and serve as a primary point of contact for accounting inquiries.Coordinate data gathering for monthly settlement and ensure accurate reconciliation of volumes and transactions.Manage reconciliation of truck tickets and statements for third-party suppliers and customers.Ensure accurate and timely billings and customer payments, resolving discrepancies as needed.Provide exceptional customer service to producers, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.Conduct monthly reconciliation and review of financial accounts.Prepare and review journal entries for plant accounting close, including revenue recognition.Track commodity inventory balances and coordinate regulatory and tax filings.Coordinate documentation for external audits and handle other assigned projects.
