Maintenance Technician

LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization, and they are seeking a 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician to join their team in Elgin, IL. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of equipment in a manufacturing facility, with a focus on minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal production efficiency. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in a refrigerated food manufacturing setting. 3rd Shift Standard Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10:00 pm-6:00 am

Key Responsibilities:routine and preventive maintenance tasks on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.and diagnose equipment malfunctions, establish failure problems, and resolve them in a timely manner to minimize production disruptions.regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and address them proactively.repairs and replacements of defective parts or components as needed to maintain equipment functionality.accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment repairs, and inventory of spare parts.with production personnel to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to production schedules.to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks to ensure a safe working environment.a strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or degree in a related field preferred.of 1 year of experience in maintenance of equipment in a manufacturing setting, preferably in a refrigerated food manufacturing environment.in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions efficiently.organizational skills and attention to detail to effectively prioritize and manage maintenance tasks.to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.to adjust work schedule as needed, including occasional weekends and overtime.commitment to safety and adherence to established safety protocols and procedures.
