📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant for a well-established company in the construction and manufacturing industry, located in Carrollton. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial management reporting and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
This position pays 95K-100K and offers a Hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities:Prepare recurring and ad hoc journal entries.Timely and accurate completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.Support month-end close and related reporting.Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.Ensure compliance with internal control guidelines.Assist with internal and external audit requests.Document accounting procedures and SOPs.Collaborate with other accounting functions on an as-needed basis.Problem-solving, sound judgment, and effective communication with employees and department managers.Assist with ad hoc requests, special projects, and initiatives.Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements:A minimum of 5 years of accounting or finance experience.Alternatively, at least 1-2 years of public accounting (audit) experience at a large CPA firm is a plus.Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.Proficiency in intermediate to advanced Excel skills.Preferred experience with Dynamics GP accounting software, construction or manufacturingStrong analytical skills and a high aptitude for learning.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work both independently and in a team.Demonstrated commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals and guidelines.
