LHH is working with a highly recognizable, Real Estate Investment Firm on a search for a Senior Fund Accountant. This Senior Accountant role will assist with all aspects of financial reporting for an open-end fund and a separately managed account. This is a highly visible, impactful position with significant growth potential. This is a dynamic position that will be involved in accounting, finance, investor relations, treasury, and more. DESCRIPTIONSupport accounting and finance for real estate transactions such as acquisitions, dispositions, financings, etc.Responsible for cash projections/planning (requires direct interaction with Portfolio Managers and other departments within the Firm). Includes coordinating and reviewing capital calls, distributions, financing draws/paydowns, and general cash management with fund administrator on the open-end funds.Supervise the fund administrator team, including reviewing deliverables before external distribution to investors, third-party consultants, lenders, etc. Provide feedback during review, facilitating a collaborative environment while optimizing operational efficiency.Partner with Portfolio Management and Client Relations teams to provide necessary financial information for current and prospective investors.Responsible for calculation of performance reporting for investments, investors, and fund/account overall, including review of performance reporting provided by fund administrator on certain funds.Collaborate in the production and review of the fund/account’s quarterly reporting package, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Deliverables include the GAAP fair value financial statements, investor reports/questionnaires, index reporting and loan compliance calculations.
REQUIREMENTSAccounting Degree (CPA heavily preferred)3-6 Years of Relevant Experience (must have a public accounting background)Real Estate Industry Experience (required)Excellent Communication SkillsProficient User of Excel
