📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
LHH is working with a technology client in the Dallas area that is looking for a Technical Accountant. This company is one of the largest in their industry, and their clients are some of the most well-known businesses in the world. Our client is looking for someone with public accounting and a CPA. In this role you will be responsible for reviewing new technical accounting standards, working with the outside auditors, and preparing journal entries. This company offers a very competitive compensation package, as well as paid medical benefits for the employee, on-site gym and cafeteria.
This position pays 120K-130K+10% Bonus.
Responsibilities:Analyze new accounting standards to determine impact on company and implement new accounting standardsAddress year-end auditor inquiries via supporting schedules and accounting memorandumsConduct and document research of non-routine accounting transactionsPrepare and record general ledger journal entries for nonroutine transactionsCollaborate with legal, procurement, sales, operations and other functions across the companyServe as a back up for the consolidation teamSupport the preparation of the annual and quarterly financial statements and footnotes
Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA preferred4+ years of experience, public accounting preferredStrong knowledge of US GAAP/ accounting theory
