Staff Accountant ($60-70k)

LHH is partnering with a high-growth healthcare organization that is based in Addison, TX. This individual will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting various accounting functions within the organization. You will work closely with finance teams, auditors, and other stakeholders to contribute to the financial health and integrity of their company. The position is 100% on-site and we are targeting a base salary of $60,000 to $70,000.

Key Responsibilities:Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and industry-specific regulations (e.g., Healthcare Financial Management Association guidelines).Process invoices, payments, and reimbursements accurately and in a timely manner. Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments. Coordinate with vendors, patients, and insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies.Assist in the tracking and analysis of costs related to healthcare services, supplies, and operations. Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities to support strategic decision-making.Stay up-to-date with healthcare industry regulations, such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), Medicare, and Medicaid requirements. Ensure financial activities comply with regulatory standards and assist in audits and compliance reporting as needed.Help establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data. Identify areas for process improvements and contribute to the implementation of best practices.Conduct financial analysis to support management decision-making, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and performance metrics reporting. Provide insights into financial performance and assist in identifying opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.Collaborate with other departments, such as billing, collections, and operations, to resolve financial issues and streamline processes. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external parties, fostering positive relationships and promoting financial transparency.Utilize accounting software and financial management systems effectively to record transactions, generate reports, and maintain accurate financial records. Familiarity with healthcare-specific software or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems may be required.

Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting0+ years' working experience; prior internship or corporate experience is preferredProficiency in Microsoft Excel Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teamsAbility to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
