Tennis Professional Job DescriptionLifetime Activities is looking for an energetic and friendly full-time Tennis Professional at our community-based tennis center in Cupertino, California.The Tennis Professional’s primary responsibility is to teach lessons to all patrons and help set the standard for high quality coaching, fun and player development. They will work with the site’s Director of Instruction to ensure that positive coaching, safety, fun and player development are at the center of every lesson.

Requirements for Tennis ProfessionalUSPTA Certified Professional & minimum 4 years experienceA strong track record of teaching excellence (Municipal program experience is a plus)Demonstrated ability to retain and attract students of all ages/abilities in group lesson settingsA great on-court presence with an understanding of modern fundamentals and development progressionsA team player with a friendly attitude and personality are a mustPunctual, professional and positive with a strong work ethic The ability to connect to a diverse range of ages and levels A positive presence with a focus on safety, and customer serviceThe interest and desire to help grass-roots players learn the game 4.0+ NTRP

Responsibilities for Tennis ProfessionalTeach/lead Park & Rec lessons, clinics and camps as required by Director of Instruction and General Manager in accordance with positive coaching standards Provides beginning through advanced instruction for all ages and level players Lead classes and provide direction to assistant instructors in absence of Director of InstructionAssist in the mentoring of new staffAble to run assigned programs independently of Director of InstructionHelp create a welcoming atmosphere for all players and have a positive student focused attitude Help with court maintenance as neededFollow current health and safety guidelines Must clear DOJ/FBI and USTA Safe Play background checks Additional duties assigned by the Director of Instruction such as court drying, class preparation, etc.

Income$39-$50/hr for group lessons commensurate with experience
