We are a growing & thriving, well-established design and build technology company with 30 employees serving the luxury residential construction market in the greater San Diego area.We provide state of the-art solutions from smart electrical, lighting design, mechanized shades, and audio/video solutions.

What will you be doing day to day?

Proficiency in installing complex systems, installing projection & audio systems, networking, security and surveillance systems, and some light control system programming experience preferred.Experience with construction and design/build industry.Capability to work in an active, fast-paced environment, which requires a high-energy, self-motivated individual with the ability to quickly grasp new concepts, technologies, and installation methods.Attention to detail, job-site cleanliness, and safety.A clean criminal background and driving record will be confirmed.CEDIA Level I or II Installer certification is preferred.Travel 10 - 15% of the time.Installation of structured cabling to include pulling, terminating, and testing Cat 6, RG6, HDMI, RCA, Speaker cables 8 Ohm and 70VoltInstallation of all AV equipment including audio and video equipment, distributed audio, control systems (Contro4 & Savant)Installation of Security SystemsInstallation of Surveillance Cameras, NVR'sWall mounting of TV'sAssisting in making sure project deliverables and milestones are met including close out documentation and punch list itemsCommunicate with project managers on personnel performance issuesFollow all safety guidelines and client requirementsQualifications2 years or more of verifiable experience as a full-time residential Audio-Visual Technician.Experience working on construction sites and with hand toolsKnowledge of Residential AV equipmentSome ability to troubleshoot Networks and AV equipmentAbility to think and work independentlyWiring and termination skills as well as proper installation techniques of all AV equipmentExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong interpersonal and customer service skillsExperience in reading/understanding architecture, electrical, structural & AV systems drawingsA teachable disposition and a willing attitude toward continuing educationFlexibility to work outside the job description when the need arisesExperience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentAnalytical and problem-solving/troubleshooting skillsDeductive reasoning skillsPC and Network knowledgeComputer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer)Self-starter with keen attention to detailAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentPossible out-of-town projects requiring hotel/multiple overnight trips (Travel 10 - 15% of the time).Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving recordMust be able to pass a background check and pre-employment screeningsPhysical DemandsSitting, standing, stooping, and bending for long or extended periods of time.Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and power tools and to handle other office equipment.Ability to lift and transport moderately heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds).Ability to climb a ladder, scaffolding, or be transported by lifts.Ability to drive/operate a vehicle.Although most work is performed inside, occasional outside activities daily/weekly/monthly may occur for short periods of time in a seasonal temperature-fluctuating environment.All requirements may be modified to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities.Job Type: Full-time
