📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
POSITION OVERVIEW:The Enrollment Specialist position with Limestone University’s Online and Graduate Programs reports directly to the Associate Vice President for Online and Graduate Programs. This position has an integral part in working with potential students to move them from the inquiry stage to the applied stage. This position also serves as a backup to work with students when Enrollment Counselors are out of the office for recruitment events. This is an internal position that focuses heavily on communication with potential students; very limited travel may be required. It works collaboratively with Enrollment Counselors and Student Success Coaches/Advisors to provide accurate information to students. The position also works collaboratively with the Registrar's Office, the Student Accounts Office, Financial Aid, and other university offices. This position is based on the main campus in Gaffney, SC.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: RECRUITMENTRecruit and provide information to prospective students for online and graduate programs - all efforts aimed at meeting enrollment budget.Supervise the applicant screening process of candidates for admissions.Works in close collaboration with the Assistant Director of Admissions and Enrollment Counselors in making successful contact with students throughout the enrollment funnel.Evaluate monthly activity against standards and personal inquiry, applications, and acceptance and registration goals. Professionally assists prospective students through the admissions process in accordance with all applicable federal and state regulations, school policies and procedures, and in compliance with all accrediting standards and requirements. Conduct telephone interviews, e-mail, and text correspondence to identify student prospects to determine their educational needs, concerns, and interests.Document all client interactions and engage in reliable data entry and information management to ensure data integrity for reporting, analysis, marketing, recruiting, and budget projections Provide a positive customer experience by educating customers, responding to questions, and overcoming objections. OTHERFocus on solving problems and roadblocks that generally prohibit students from being able to move through the admissions process.Collaborate and coordinate with colleagues in a team approach to ensure student success and effective enrollment management. Participate in weekly Online and Graduate Program meetings and others as called by the Associate Vice President for Online and Graduate Programs.Some travel may be required. Transportation will be provided or mileage will be paid based on the university travel mileage policy. The noise level when in the office is typically quiet. Willing to work on a shift schedule that accommodates clients' schedules (i.e., evening work when students are home) and on some weekends. The standard schedule for this position will be:Monday and Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMTuesday and Thursday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PMFriday: 8:00 AM – 1:30 PMOne Saturday (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM) is required per month (adjustments will be made to the standard schedule for Saturday work).EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE:An outgoing personality, strong work ethic, critical thinking skills, and superior customer service skills. The ideal candidate is someone with either sales experience, higher education experience, or a combination of similar skills and experience.Detail-oriented and committed to following up with clients in a timely fashion. Energetic, service-oriented, motivated, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks with competing priorities and deadlines. A Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university is required. Consideration will be given to candidates actively pursuing their Bachelor’s Degree.
