Job Description
This role will be based in New York, NY.

LinkedIn News is looking for a Games Editor to support our mission of helping our members have fun in a productive way, while staying up to date on the latest news and conversation. In this role, the editor will sit on the LinkedIn News team and be the creative force behind our daily games and puzzles — responsible for creating the cluing behind our word games, as well as creating relevant content on a daily basis and collaborating with a cross-functional team. The ideal candidate has a core understanding of the principles of puzzle/game design, keen attention to detail, and a passion for creating an enriching and fun experience for the world’s professionals.
Responsibilities
Understand how content for trivia, logic and/or word-pattern games is programmedKnowledge around how puzzles and games are edited and fact-checkedAnalyze data on games content to continually improve and iterate on future direction of related programmingIdentify emerging opportunities and sit on core team of stakeholders informing future coverage, strategy, development and toolingSpark game-related conversation on the platform through editorial coverage (i.e. content related to game trends, gameplay strategy, etc.) and community engagement
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
4+ years of experience in creating puzzles/games (either full-time, contract, or freelance)2+ years of experience in a news or media environment

The pay range for this role is $93,000 to $150,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
