Team Overview

The mission of the Marketplace Monetization AI team is to help LinkedIn create economic value while helping members seek job opportunities and customers to find best candidates to the platform. The team is at the center of the largest LinkedIn business line to drive billion-dollar-level business impact and help hundreds of millions of members find their next job, a complex problem-space with exciting opportunities to revolutionize the digital job marketplace.

We develop cutting-edge AI technologies with a wide range of technologies such as deep learning, generative AI, large language models, recommender systems, ranking, search, advertising, auction theory and much more in our solutions, and support many areas of member and customer success within LinkedIn including Jobs-You-May-Be-Interested-In (JYMBII), Job Search, Jobs Notifications, LinkedIn Coach, etc. We are closely partnering with many products, engineering and infrastructure teams to build the next generation AI-first product experience for our members.

Responsibilities

Successful Senior Managers will build and align teams for operational health, lead high spectrum scope (spanning modeling, infrastructure, legacy, and next-generation models), and partner across multiple vertical teams throughout LinkedIn. This individual will also be responsible for the following:

• Participate in key technical and design discussions with technical leads in the team.• Collaborate with application engineering, product, and partner teams to design machine learning solutions.• Operate best engineering and scientific practices & processes to ensure productivity of the team and drive faster iterations via A/B experiments.• Attract world class talent and provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members.

Basic Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant professional experience • 3+ years of management experience • BA/BS in Computer Science or other technical discipline, or related practical technical experience• Hands on experience in data modeling and machine learning engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant professional work experience• 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams. • At least one year of experience managing other managers and technical leads. • Domain experience in Ads AI or Marketplace AI • MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics or related fields

Compensation

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $220,000-$300,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
