Nurse Administrator, Healthcare Education Leadership

Linn-Benton Community College is seeking a Nurse Administrator to join our Healthcare Occupations leadership team. The Nurse Administrator provides leadership to the nursing department and works in collaboration with the Dean of Healthcare. This position is the authority responsible for the direction of the Nursing and Nursing Assistant programs and regulations as governed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) and supports the Bachelor of Science: Nursing Community College Collaborative (BSNCCC).

Job Duties Summary:In partnership with the Healthcare Division Dean, the Nurse Administrator helps to manage nursing department operations, including personnel hiring, performance management, budgetary and curricular functions. Direct a strong focus towards exploring and improving teaching and learning, assessing student learning outcomes, improving curricular offerings, retaining students, cultural fluency, and developing staff. Work with the nursing department to develop and maintain community partnerships and to promote and market their programs. Provide leadership in divisional planning and academic affairs with a strong focus on equitable practices. Forward the mission of the college and division through coordination with a wide variety of college partners, public and private, internal and external. Required Education, Training, and Experience Summary:Requires master’s degree in nursing with documentation of preparation and/or experience in curriculum and teaching.Must hold a current, unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in Oregon.Current CPR certification or ability to obtain certification prior to the first day of employment. This position works with sensitive confidential data and must pass a criminal background check and drug screening prior to starting. Must meet the Oregon Health Authority’s clinical requirements for health profession faculty.Have the equivalent of a minimum of five years of full-time nursing experience to include: (i) A minimum of two years must be in patient care at the registered nurse level; and (ii) A minimum of three of these years must be in a Nurse Educator or administrative position in an academic nursing education program.[For a full list of essential duties, please see the job posting on our Employment Opportunities Website at the provided link.]
