DescriptionJoin our client’s dynamic Engineering Research and Development Laboratory team, where you'll play a crucial role in testing and evaluating components and prototypes. Your work will be instrumental in maintaining project timelines for new products or process introductions. This position requires creative problem-solving and collaboration with internal teams to ensure all standards and requirements are met during the prototype development stage.
ResponsibilitiesInstall and configure necessary equipment and data loggers for testing purposes.Operate test assembly and instrumentation, recording and analyzing performance data as directed.Complete assigned work orders, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate status updates in project management software.Conduct product testing to meet engineering specifications, including various tests like hydrostatic, flex, pneumatic, etc.Inspect products and components for defects, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and drawings.Calibrate equipment as needed, maintaining records per department and ISO standards.Utilize lab fabrication equipment to prepare materials for testing, ensuring proper maintenance and cleanliness.Support continuous improvement initiatives in the lab following Lean principles.Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to company safety protocols.Log hours and communicate effectively using Liquid Planner (LP) as a primary tool.
QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.5-8 years of relevant experience.Proficiency in maintaining automation equipment.Experience with robotics, AI, and machine learning.Strong project management skills.Solid understanding of computer programming and software development.Ability to troubleshoot equipment and conduct complex system tests.Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Proficient in blueprint reading, shop math, and precision instruments.Experience with programming languages like Ladder Logic, PLC, Code writing, and LabView.
